Many moms feel not very comfortable when they have to breastfeed in public but this should not be the reason for a mother not to nurse a baby when he wants it. So, the thing which can help you to feel more comfortable while breastfeeding in public can be a breast feeding cover.

Breast feeding cover can be a self-made or a specially bought product which will make you feel isolated from the other people when you are breastfeeding in public. Such a cover can be useful both for a mother and for a baby because of many reasons:

But, besides these breastfeeding laws, all the states have some peculiar laws for nursing mothers. Some of the states let the nursing mothers breastfeed their babies in public or any private place, and some others allow breastfeeding only at places belonging to the state, Georgia does not prohibit public breastfeeding as long as it is done discreetly; there are states which let the breastfeeding mothers not to have a jury duty; New York has a special Bill of Rights for breastfeeding mothers etc. I will not describe all the breastfeeding laws as you can find them here. I just wanted to say my point of view concerning it.

Breastfeeding clothes are important thing in breastfeeding period of every mother. Ladies often do not invent much about breastfeeding tops; they just choose some usual loose tops which are comfortable for nursing and make them be their special breastfeeding tops.

But some women feel very uncomfortable when they have to lift their breastfeeding tops up and to breastfeed their baby somewhere in public. Or they are just too shy to show the others their not very good-looking body after pregnancy. In this case a nursing mother can visit some special store for breastfeeding moms and buy some specially designed breastfeeding tops. Such special clothes let the mother possibility to nurse her baby without lifting her top up. It does not mean that you have to buy dozens of such special breastfeeding tops, which are usually rather expensive by the way, you can buy only one or two of them and wear them when you go out with you baby.
